After 44 years, four of the original eight members of the 1958 expedition revisited the islands with three of our grown-up sons. We arrived on 28th June in Footloose, a 33 foot RIB driven by Willie MacRae from Stornoway. At nearly 40 knots, the journey took about 40 minutes - quite a change from the six hours it took us to arrive from Kyle of Lochalsh in a fishing boat in 1958. Footloose picked us up again and took us back to Stornoway on 1st July. We camped behind the house, and Adam Nicolson kindly allowed us to use the house for cooking and eating in.

As well as albums of photos from everyone who took a camera, we also have a mixed album of the best of all the photos - look at this first if your time is limited. We also have Tim's diary of the trip, and for the benefit of future visitors to the islands, our food list, with comments.
